Public relations firm for entrepreneurs, business leaders and high growth, disruptive brands, The PR Hub has appointed two new team members along with two internal promotions, as it continues to expand its service offering and client base.
Former breakfast television producer and journalist Allex Conley has taken on the role of account director, while former sport and lifestyle journalist and producer Ash Kent has also recently joined the team as a senior account manager.
Allex’s resume includes 10 years’ experience as a broadcast producer working across Network Seven, Channel Nine and Network 10, including in the role of supervising producer at TODAY Extra, line producer and writer on The Morning Show and Weekend Sunrise, and producer for Sunrise, TODAY Show, Weekend TODAY and Studio 10. Her first hand experience in working to tight deadlines, adapting to an ever changing landscape and knowing what makes a great pitch and a great story, are vital skills in the world of PR.
“As a complete media addict and fervent storyteller I gravitated towards this opportunity with The PR Hub,” Allex Conley said.
“I think public interest and the media landscape has changed significantly due to the pandemic, people are hungry for information and stories they can relate too.
“Our clients are disruptors, innovators and entrepreneurs with brilliant minds and even more brilliant ideas. Their stories have value and need to be told.”
Prior to joining The PR Hub Ash Kent spent five years at Nine, working as a digital journalist for 9Honey and Wide World of Sports, where she interviewed a multitude of sporting stars such as Dylan Alcott, Michael Klim, Tom Burgess and other big names like Kathy Kelly and Megan Mullally. Ash also worked on Talking Married, and other 9Honey produced shows before going on to be a part of the production of Nine’s broadcast of the Sunday afternoon NRL. Her experience in the field brings an insider edge to her work.
Ash Kent said, “Exploring PR was always something I thought about, so when the opportunity arose at The PR Hub with such a tight group of powerhouse women, it seemed like the perfect move to make.
“Being curious and having a passion for story-telling comes with the territory of being a journo and those skills have been transferable into PR. That was comfort whilst learning a new skill set.
“The clients we represent have taught me so much in a short space of time, and I feel incredibly grateful to be privy to the ins and outs of some of the most exciting emerging and evolving industries.”
As the team expands, several internal promotions have also taken place with former operations manager Natalie Crynes stepping into the role of managing director, while founder Samantha Dybac takes on the role of CEO.
Natalie, who has been with The PR Hub since January 2019 and has a previous career in media and corporate sectors spanning 20+ years, will continue to manage the day to day operation of the business with an increased focus on recruitment, training and culture to support current and future plans for growth.
Natalie Crynes said, “We have achieved some amazing growth in the business over the past eighteen months and I’m excited to be stepping into the role of managing director. Being able to work with such a talented, results driven team that’s never short of creative energy allows everyone to bring their best selves to work which in turn helps achieve outstanding results.
“I am looking forward to the next phase of growth at The PR Hub. As the team continues to strengthen, we can further celebrate our wins and use our resources to give back to the wider community through causes close to our hearts”.
