The In-House Agency Council (IHAC) has announced the launch of its first series of networking events held exclusively for in-house agency leaders and talent in Sydney and Melbourne next week.

The IHAC, which launched in July 2021, has more than 25 members, including new arrivals Bupa, TTI Brands (Ryobi), Betfair, Collingwood FC and Medicines Australia.

The council recently hosted a roundtable discussion on The Great Resignation, and how in-house agencies can recruit and retain the best talent in this competitive recruitment market.

IHAC Chair Chris Maxwell (main photo) says, “This is a unique moment in the talent market where people are reassessing their priorities, flexibility, balance and growth opportunities, which are all important factors.

“We’re seeing agency talent looking for alternatives and with the growth of in-house agencies, now is a great time to be thinking about a move to client side.

“In-house agencies can provide all of the flexibility and balance people are looking for, and at the same time, can get talent closer to the strategy and commercial side of the business, providing great growth and development opportunities.”

This month IHAC launched Australia’s first benchmarking study on marketing technology for in-house agencies, which included information on trends, tools and forecasts.

Marketers and in-house agency personnel are encouraged to participate and anyone who completes this survey will receive a copy of the insights report.

The IHAC has also launched its online knowledge centre, where members can access best practices, learnings and insights from the industry.
