The Australian Open Courts Controversy With Boujiee $99 Ralph Lauren Water Bottles

Ralph Lauren water bottles that are being sold at the Australian Open for $99 bucks are now the subject of a viral Reddit thread.

A Reddit user shared a photo of the water bottles and wrote, “Discount water bottles at the Australian Open.” The photo showcased the steep price tag and the comment section went wild in response.

One user wrote, “Made in the same Chinese factory…. both keep the water inside just as cold,” another said, “If that is not an error. how the hell do you justify $99 for a goddam drink bottle?” not exactly rave reviewers.

Ralph Lauren is the official outfitter of The Australian Open – yes, that is why the outfits are so cute.

Hence why the brand is flogging a water bottle featuring the grand slam’s logo for $99 dollars, and while the water bottle may not be for everyone, it is only natural that luxury brands are going to create luxury souvenirs.

In interesting news, you don’t even have to attend the Australian Open to get your hands on such a deluxe item they are also available at Myers.

Still, water bottles aside, The Australian Open has become the new Olympics and is breaking up the news cycle from the never-ending COVID-19 updates.

Nine banking on The Australian Open is proving a success and has got Aussie’s chatting about something besides daily case numbers.

While no one has gone to vent on Twitter yet about the water bottles, here at B&T we reckon it’ll only be a matter of days.
