Network Ten responded to a report that it is replacing Ali Oetjen as the star of the next season of The Bachelorette Australia.
NW magazine reported that Ten is considering getting rid of Oetjen following fan backlash and claims she cheated on her Bachelor In Paradise partner Grant Kemp.
Furthermore, the report claims Ten has been holding crisis meetings around the romance reality TV series before it begins filming later this year, and has lined up a former contestant on The Bachelor, Nikki Gogan, to replace Oetjen, who was announced as the next Bachelorette at the end of April.
However, Ten has rubbished the report, describing it as “false and misleading”.
“Network Ten is looking forward to Ali finding love on The Bachelorette Australia later this year,” a spokeswoman told news.com.au.
NW also reported that that casting for the show is still underway in Sydney and no male contestants have been selected yet.
