Over the last 12 months, global marketing agency TEAM LEWIS employee-directed philanthropy has channelled $2 million in cash and creative to charities.

Having offered every employee opportunity to nominate a charity to make a cash donation, to date over 400 employees have now participated.

In Asia-Pacific, TEAM LEWIS Foundation received more than 80 charity submissions from teams across Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

This covered causes that span animal welfare, arts, culture and sports, healthcare and medical research, humanitarian efforts as well as social and community care.

On top of cash donations, the Foundation has worked with team members and their nominated causes on creative projects.

Be it research, design, media relations, filmmaking, copywriting, or anything in between, TEAM LEWIS Foundation has donated countless hours to help causes achieve their goals.

For example, short-form documentaries with charities such as Flint Public Art Project, Julian Campbell Foundation and Music Man Project to help bring stories to wider audiences.

Samuel Dean (Pictured above), CEO, TEAM LEWIS Foundation, said, “We started this because so many local charities are in trouble right now.”

“They need support, they are the beating heart of our community.”

Now in 2022, the Foundation is working on creative projects with the likes of Elton John Aids Foundation, HeforShe, The Music Man Project, High Fives Foundation, Umbrella Dementia Cafés, Kolibri Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder, Coeurs en Scène, CoppaFeel, and Refugee Café.

Dean added, “We may be over the worst of the pandemic, but its impact on our communities remains.”

“Many of the charities we work with are facing uncertain futures.”
