TAB Becomes JAB As Part of Massive Vaccination Push

TAB is encouraging Australians to get vaccinated, updating its social media handles to read ‘JAB’.

The update comes as the bookmaker heads into this year’s Spring racing season.

“Australia, Spring is here and it’s time to get back to what we love. The racetrack, the local and your mates,” TAB said on social media.

Alongside the name change, TAB is also launching a social media campaign, #JABForAustralia. The campaign is asking Australians to share the JAB logo and explain why they’re getting vaccinated.

Tabcorp Wagering & Media Managing Director, Adam Rytenskild said told Sky Racing: “getting vaccinated is now the way to unlock the country; we want Australia to get back to being together, to enjoying each other’s company and (for TAB customers) to do the things they miss the most, like a day at the races and a Saturday afternoon at their local with friends and family.

“TAB is part of the fabric of the human connection Australians enjoy when they’re at the track, cheering their team or at their local. Getting the JAB brings us back together sooner.”
