SXSW: AustraliaHouse Features Hugh Jackman, Huge Crowds

Tourism Australia’s G’Day USA program has launched its AUSTRALIAHOUSE @ South by Southwest (SXSW) 2018 activation overnight and has been the subject of a long and persisitent queue ever since to sample the wares of our great brown land.

Located in the heart of the action on Austin’s Rainey Street, this all-encompassing Australian experience kicked off on March 11 and runs through to March 16, presenting the very best of Australian innovation, film and music, as well as unique food, wine and tourism experiences.

Guests at AUSTRALIAHOUSE can enjoy world-class coffee from Hugh Jackman’s ‘Laughing Man Café’, premium Australian wine & cheese pairings with chef Curtis Stone, and a huge line up of talent, featuring over 60 Australian performances across 9 SOUNDS AUSTRALIA showcase events.

AUSTRALIAHOUSE will also feature TedX-style talks and interactive panels with some of Australia’s leading figures in film, space, music and philanthropic innovation.

SXSW attendees will also be able to swing by the AUSTRALIAHOUSE booth at the SXSW Trade Show for program information & a big week of networking sessions and business showcases.

G’DAY USA is Australia’s premier public and economic diplomacy program in the United States.

Over the past 15 years, the program has grown to include events in major cities across the United States, bringing together corporate leaders, policy makers, creative industries and academia from both countries in a year-long series of activities designed to cultivate and enhance the Australia-United States relationship.

The mere mention of Hugh Jackman was enough to have half of the SXSW attendees forming an orderly queue out of sight for the chance of touching the Boy From OzThe mere mention of Hugh Jackman was enough to have half of the SXSW attendees forming an orderly queue out of sight for the chance of touching the Boy From Oz
