Sunday TV Wrap: The Block Tops The Charts With 1.1 Million Viewers

The Block was last night’s overall big winner, scoring 1,100,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data.

It was another room reveal, with the judges scoring former Love Island stars Josh and Luke a lowly eight.

Next was Seven News with 922,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 919,000, ABC News with 638,000 and 60 Minutes with 585,000.

10’s top performer was Celebrity MasterChef where singer Dami Im was eliminated from the competition. The network also had The Sunday Project with 367,000 viewers and 10 News First with 259,000.

On the ABC, Restoration Australia had 458,000 viewers, Fires had 321,000, Insiders had 275,000, Landline had 241,000, and a repeat of Back Roads had 218,000.

For Seven, 7News Spotlight: Life and Death had 436,000 viewers, Border Security – Australia’s Front Line had 302,000, Weekend Sunrise had 242,000 and Grace had 240,000.

Finally, Nine had the late news with 334,000 viewers and Nine News: First At Five with 210,000.

The Nine Network won the night with 36.4 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network with 22.1 per cent. In third was Network 10 with 18.9 per cent, followed by the ABC TV network with 14.7 per cent and the SBS Network with 7.8 per cent.

Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Saturday, October 17, The Block was on top with a total audience of 1,800,000 viewers (metro: 1,064,000, regional: 429,000, BVOD: 229,000).

Seven News was second with 1,457,000 viewers (metro: 947,000, regional: 483,000, BVOD: 27,000), followed by Nine News with 1,385,000 (metro: 1,033,000, regional: 318,000, BVOD: 33,000).

The program with the highest lift on overnight was the ABC’s Fires at 36 per cent, scoring 742,000 viewers overall (metro: 371,000, regional: 175,000, BVOD: 89,000).
