Next in the ratings was Seven News with 830,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 824,000, according to OzTAM’s metro data.
Also on Nine was a tribute to legendary TV star Bert Newton, who sadly passed away this weekend. The special had 749,000 viewers.
Nine also had 60 Minutes with 803,000 viewers, the late news with 692,000, doco series The First 48 with 334,000, Nine News: First At Five with 222,000, and Weekend Today with 217,000.
Over on the ABC was ABC News with 607,000 viewers, Restoration Australia with 467,000, Fires with 304,000, Insiders with 257,000 and a repeat of Back Roads with 225,000.
For 10, Celebrity MasterChef had 421,000 viewers as Offspring actor Matt Le Nevez was eliminated. The Sunday Project had 305,000 viewers and 10 News First had 238,000.
Finally, on Seven, 7News Spotlight: Bubba Chump had 355,000 viewers, Border Security: Australia’s Front Line had 272,000 and Weekend Sunrise had 236,000.
The Nine Network resoundingly won the night with a whopping 41.9 per cent of the daily share. Next was the Seven Network with 21.6 per cent of the share, followed by Network 10 with 15.9 per cent, then the ABC TV network with 14.8 per cent and the SBS Network with 5.9 per cent.
Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Sunday October 24, The Block was number one with a total viewership of 1,799,000 (metro: 1,101,000, regional: 408,000, BVOD: 228,000).
Seven News had a viewership of 1,401,000 (metro: 922,000, regional: 452,000, BVOD: 26,000), followed by Nine News with 1,268,000 total viewers (metro: 919,000, regional: 313,000, BVOD: 35,000).
Two programs tied for the highest lift on overnight, both increasing viewership with 42 per cent. Up first was the ABC’s Fires, which ended up with a total audience of 706,000 (metro: 321,000, regional: 177,000, BVOD: 85,000).
Next was 10’s FBI, which had a total audience of 299,000 (metro: 133,000, regional: 77,000, BVOD: 12,000).
