Network Ten’s Sunday night woes continue after it was once again beaten into fourth spot by the ABC last night.
Nine easily won Sunday thanks to the all-conquering The Block which, with 1.29 million viewers, was the most watched show of the night. It also got helped along by good numbers for the Dragons-Broncos NRL semi-final that pulled 547,000.
When it came to audience share, Nine had an impressive 35.7 per cent. Seven did well with 30.1 per cent. The ABC nabbed 14.1 per cent and Ten could only manage 13.8 per cent. The SBS had to be content with 6.1 per cent.
The NRL match also had a halo effect for Nine’s 6pm news, it beat rival Seven’s 1.19 million to 1.066 million, respectively. Nine’s 60 Minutes (896,000) also held off Seven’s Sunday Night (843,000).
Over at Seven, its other highlights included Little Big Shots with 768,000 and Crime Investigation Australia with 392,000.
For Ten, the only thing better than Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures (516,000) was a second episode of Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures (522,000). The Sunday Project was again disappointing, managing only 367,000.
The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (702,000), Rake (430,000), Joanna Lumley’s India (421,000) and Vera (236,000).
For SBS, its best was Concorde with 189,000.
