Digital marketing agency Sparro, by Brainlabs and Jack Nimble, has promoted long-serving executive Hannah Jones to chief executive officer to succeed founders Morris and Cameron Bryant, who have left the business.
Jones steps into the CEO role after serving as managing director, having previously held positions including group general manager and key account director since joining Sparro in 2017.
“Jones has always been the heart of the business, and it wouldn’t be anything near what it is today without her,” Morris Bryant said. “She’s the best leader I know.”
“I couldn’t be happier to see her step up as CEO – not until she’s global CEO, of course. It’s a completely different world from when she started all those years ago, and she’s the perfect person to listen to clients, staff and the market, and to build the agency that clients need today.”
The promotion comes as Sparro and Jack Nimble continue to expand following their acquisition by Brainlabs in 2024. The agency group now manages more than $250 million in annual advertising spend across a client roster including Spotify, NRMA, Sixt, Petbarn, Temple & Webster, Ralph Lauren, American Express, eBay, ASICS, Liquorland, AMP and Destination NSW. Together, Sparro and Jack Nimble employ more than 130 people.
During her tenure, Jones has helped shape Sparro’s full-service media offering and workplace culture, with the agency receiving recognition including AdNews Digital Agency of the Year and multiple B&T People & Culture Awards.
In her new role, Jones will focus on expanding the agency’s full-service media and creative capabilities while leveraging Brainlabs’ global AI, automation and technology platforms.
“Nine years ago, I walked into a business with massive ambition, and today, that ambition is stronger than ever,” Jones said.
“I am incredibly proud to lead our brilliant team into this next phase, supercharging our offering and continuing to build a workplace where our people can truly thrive.”
Sean Seamer, global chief operating officer at Brainlabs, said Jones had earned the promotion through her leadership and results.
“Hannah has spent nine years building Sparro and Jack Nimble into one of the best agencies in Australia, and she’s earned this the hard way: through results, through culture, and through the trust of her team,” Seamer said.
“She leads with the same ambition and discipline now that she did on day one, and that’s rare. I’m excited to see what she does with the full weight of Brainlabs behind her.”
