Had Ryan Reynolds not already held the title of current A-list celeb presently churning out a tonne of ads, rapper Snoop Dogg would definitely place a comfortable second.
Snoop, who’s the face of Menulog here in Australia, even landed a spot in Gucci’s recent spring-summer campaign alongside the likes of more known fashionistas Jared Leto and Miley Cyrus. Check the work out HERE.
And now the 50-year-old rapper returns for Mexican beer brand Corona in new work from MullenLowe LA that’s set to debut during today’s Oscars.
Called “Phone”, the spot sees Mr Dogg dispel his worldly wisdom of not doing much at all to comic and actor, Andy Samberg.
The spot is a continuation of the brand’s “La Vida Más Fina” campaign that has featured a number of celebs and urges drinkers to find the joy in the simple things in life. Check out the work below:

Ryan Anderson, director of marketing, Corona Beers Family, Constellation Brands, commented: “Two years ago, we launched the La Vida Más Fina campaign to help people feel, laugh, and inspire them to find the good in life. Now, we’re introducing the next chapter with a new character who represents the part of us that struggles to relax and enjoy. Enter Andy Samberg, paired with our Corona ambassador Snoop Dogg, an icon who epitomizes chill. Together they remind us that despite all the distractions and chaos in today’s world, most of us know the finest life is all about the simplest things. We can’t wait for fans of the brand to experience the new work, starting with our :30 spot entitled Phone that will debut during this year’s Oscar’s broadcast.”
Carlos Alija and Laura Sampedro, executive creative directors, MullenLowe Los Angeles, adeed: “Teaming up with creative minds like Snoop, Andy, and director Neil Brennan has been a master class in comedic timing, self-editing, and how to wear a robe in style. In this years’ installment of the “La Vida Más Fina” platform we are adding new layers to what it means to put things in perspective and to seize the moment – something we can all have more of.”
