Six Black Pens (SBP) has appointed Joe Mayock (featured image) as head of creative.
He joins directors Oli Vickery and Chris Tappenden in overseeing delivery to SBP’s rapidly growing client base.
SBP co-founder and Director Oli Vickery commented: “Joe’s rare combination of expertise across design, advertising, experiential and content, as well as long stints as creative director at agencies like Momentum and his own agency One Partners, make him a valuable asset to our team.”
Mayock shares SBP’s belief that great work is hard work, and that when discipline, focus and tenacity are embedded in a team culture, a powerful creative output is produced.
Over the years, this philosophy has led to Mayock’s teams winning awards at global and local levels, including AdNews, Australian Promotional Marketing Association, Asian Marketing Effectiveness and the Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide.
Mayock said: “SBP’s trajectory is testament not only to the unique offering, but the switched-on people making it happen. They’re a brilliant bunch and I’m excited to get amongst it.”
Mayock’s appointment comes on the back of Six Black Pens expanding its offerings over the past decade, working in the financial and large corporate sectors with organisations such as NAB, MLC, PEXA and Seek.
SBP’s growing team prides itself on ‘making the complex beautiful’ – helping large organisations with sophisticated products or services and multi-layered internal structures find their voice and create effective and compelling communications.
