Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife Trailer’s Dropped & It Looks Like A Clucking Good Time

Seven has released the first trailer for the upcoming season of reality dating show The Farmer Wants a Wife.

Back in October, Seven announced it would be bringing back the dating show which ran for nine seasons on Channel Nine, before being cancelled in 2016.

As Seven seeks to chase younger eyeballs, it’s hoping FWAW will be the golden ticket.

Watch the trailer below.

The show was commissioned in 2007 by Nine, based on the UK version. It was hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski for eight seasons before the show was cancelled until 2015, when a ninth season was announced. The show was subsequently cancelled after that season.

While the first season of FWAW did well for Nine, averaging around 1.25m viewers, the second season picked up to 1.38m. However, by season six, ratings dropped to around 950,000, and by the ninth season, fell to between 600,000 and 700,000.

There is no set date for the premiere of the new season once again hosted by Gruzlewski just yet, but the trailer notes it will be sometime in April.
