Seven West media’s major shareholder Seven Group Holdings Ltd and Australian Capital Equity Ltd have announced $10 million will be donated to bushfire relief.
Seven Group Holdings executive chairman Kerry Stokes (feature image) commented on the initiative this morning.
“Our group of companies are uniquely placed to help provide short and long term solutions to the terrible damage being wrought across our country by the bushfires,” he said.
“We will work closely with government and community groups to ensure our assistance is maximised. Senior executives across the group, including ACE Chief Operating Officer, James McMahon, will be leading our combined initiatives. Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by the fires. They can be assured all Australians stand with them.”
The two groups will each give $5 million.
It comes alongside the Seven West Media’s upcoming AFL, Cricket and Firefight Australia Concert fundraising initiatives.
