SCA has announced the appointment of Cathrine McVeigh to head of audio production and operations.

She will be part of the content leadership team.

In the newly created role, McVeigh will oversee the creation of SCA’s new audio production and content operations hub and lead a combined team across the country to deliver a rapidly growing slate of audio content across SCA’s Hit and Triple M networks, commercial production, and digital audio platforms including LiSTNR.

McVeigh joins SCA with over 20 years’ leadership experience in the content production space, specialising in content creation across platforms including podcasting, digital audio, television, and publishing.

McVeigh has worked at the ABC, international production house Essential Media Group and most recently Southern Pictures.

“We’re excited to have a leader of Cathrine’s calibre join us at such an important time in SCA’s continued digital audio transformation. She is a highly experienced strategic thought leader and creative innovator, who brings significant success leading large audio and operations teams and managing high volume content slates across multiple audio and video platforms,” chief content officer Dave Cameron said.

“The addition of Cathrine to the content leadership team will lead the continued level of excellence and growing output of audio content across all of SCA’s broadcast and digital platforms.”

Commenting on her new role, McVeigh said, “I am so thrilled to become part of the creative powerhouse that is SCA.  I can’t wait to join the team and help drive commercial success for our audience, clients and the company in a rapidly evolving and exciting audio marketplace.”

McVeigh will report to Cameron and her role is effective from August 9.
