Monks, the digital, data-driven, operating brand of Sir Martin Sorrell’s S4Capital, has hired Bharti Agrawal as its chief financial officer, APAC, marketing services.
Based in Singapore, Bharti will report to Jordi Covas, Global CFO, marketing services and oversee financial strategy, operations and governance across the Asia-Pacific region. She will partner closely with regional leadership to drive sustainable growth, operational excellence and transformation as Monks continues to scale its integrated marketing and technology services offering across APAC.
Bharti brings over 20 years of international finance leadership experience across the UK, Brazil and Southeast Asia. Most recently, she served as CFO, Southeast Asia at dentsu, where she led finance across six markets, managing a direct team of seven and supporting approximately 200 indirect reports. In that role, she was responsible for reporting, forecasting, commercial strategy and advancing transformation initiatives within a complex, matrixed organisation.
“We are excited to have Bharti join us at this pivotal moment in our regional growth journey,” said Covas.
“Her extensive experience leading multi-market finance teams, driving operational transformation, and partnering closely with business leaders will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate our momentum and strengthen our presence and leadership across Asia-Pacific.”
Prior to Monks, Bharti was the Southeast Asia CFO for Dentsu International, managing a direct team of seven across six markets (200 indirect headcount) responsible for reporting, forecasting, driving growth and the transformation agenda in a matrixed environment.
Before Dentsu, she held senior roles within Transaction Services and M&A at KPMG in both Brazil and the United Kingdom. She advised corporate and private equity clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions, cross-border deals and capital market engagements across sectors including telecommunications, media, food and beverage, hospitality and energy.
“I’m thrilled to join Monks at such a pivotal moment. The APAC region presents tremendous opportunity and I look forward to partnering with our teams to strengthen financial stewardship and support the continued expansion of our integrated Marketing and Technology Services offering that set Monks apart,” commented Agrawal on her appointment.
“Monks’ ambition, agility and commitment to transformation resonate deeply with me, and I’m excited to help drive sustainable growth for our people, our business and our clients across Asia‑Pacific.”
“Bharti’s appointment further strengthens our leadership team in Asia-Pacific at a time when the region is playing an increasingly important role in our global growth,” concluded Kenny Griffiths, executive vice president at Monks APAC.
“Her deep experience in navigating complex, multi-market environments and her strong partnership mindset will be invaluable as we continue to scale our operations, deepen client relationships and build a more agile, future-ready organisation across the region.”
She begins her role effective immediately.
Sir Martin will be speaking at this year’s Cairns Crocodiles.
