Ryan Reynolds Spoofs Airline Safety Videos In New Collab Between His Gin Brand & British Airways

Is anyone else getting the feeling that Ryan Reynolds appears to be pumping out an ad a day at the moment?

His latest is a deliberate spruik for his very own gin brand, Aviation, that’s now available on British Airways flights.

The spot, by Reynolds’ own creative agency Maximum Effort, also coincides with BA’s announcement it’s now flying to Portland, Oregon – Aviation Gin’s very own hometown.

Aviation American Gin was founded in Portland in 2006 and the 45-year-old actor became a co-owner in the distillery in 2018.

In 2020, booze behemoth Diageo bought the operation for a whopping $US600 million ($A820 million) but part of the deal stipulated that Reynolds would remain the face of the brand until 2030.

The new work finds Reynolds, well, playing Reynolds, really. It’s good fun, however some might say it veers somewhat towards trivialising the importance of airline safety. And possibly getting loaded on flights! You decide by watching the work below:
