Media billionaire, Rupert Murdoch and former model Jerry Hall are reportedly getting divorced.
The New York Times has claimed it got the divorce news from two people connected to the couple that are aware of the decision; however, no official announcement has been made.
Yes, just when you thought it couldn’t get worse than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt parting ways, now you’ll have to stomach another heartbreaking tale.
Murdoch controls significant outlets including The Sun and Fox News, among a slew of others. Murdoch’s son Lachlan was named his successor in 2018, and assumedly Murdoch was taking a step back to spend time with his new wife. However, sadly it has been reported the two will be parting ways.
Interestingly if the two do get divorced, according to The New York Times it is unlikely it’ll have any impact on Murdoch’s media businesses because it is all in a strictly managed family trust.
The couple wed in 2016 after a whirlwind romance but sadly now it has been reported that 91-year-old Murdoch and 65-year-old Hall are going their separate ways.
When they got married in 2016, Murdoch tweeted, that he was the, “happiest man ever!”
No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world.

This will be the fourth divorce for Murdoch. However, it’s worth noting neither has confirmed the rumours yet, so perhaps there’s still hope.
Naturally, Twitter has weighed in.

If the rumblings are true, It’ll be interesting to see if they come to a quiet settlement or if there are financial disputes.
