In this latest strategy, Rapid will provide Joinery with their specialised VR expertise and in turn Joinery will provide the bricks and mortar infrastructure, production resources to assist Rapid’s continued expansion into the global marketplace.

Joinery’s executive producer and co-founder, Gerard Cantor, commented, “When we decided to find a VR/360º partner, we knew we wanted the best because ultimately the next level of storytelling would have to compliment Joinery’s offering. Rapid VR isn’t just the best in the game but as importantly, they share the same vision and philosophy as us at Joinery, giving us the confidence of delivering the best existing immersive content to agencies and brands.”

Working with clients including Samsung, Lexus, Audi, GoPro, Coors Light and Qantas, Rapid has put out some of the most effective and viewed VR and 360° content ever created. To date Rapid’s work has reached a view count in excess of 65 million, with their Samsung and World Surf League film “Get Barreled in Tahiti” garnering over 22 million views online.

Susannah Phillips, executive producer and founder of Rapid VR, said, “The partnership with Joinery makes perfect sense for us, they have a great team, the infrastructure and driven commitment to producing high quality and award winning work for their clients. The synergies between our two businesses are clear.”

Rapid’s alliance with Joinery is based on a full end-to-end offering, spanning technical design, creative direction, post production and delivery.

This partnership will give Joinery a major advantage in the US as Rapid has always invested heavily in R&D and specialised production techniques, and offer a vast cache of customised rigging and revolutionary 360-degree cameras (including stereoscopic) to capture all manner of experiences for their clients. From filming inside the mouth of a great white shark, to filming wingsuit pilots over the Great Wall of China, the cinematic quality and cutting-edge technology infused in all of Rapid’s work regularly leaves viewers asking: “How did they do that?”

As boots on the ground in America, Joinery will be leveraging Rapid’s full-spectrum offering, connecting their clients with truly immersive content production that pushes the boundaries of technology. Joinery’s experienced production team will assist each project every step of the way, from concept creation through to execution and activation.
