Publicis has announced the promotion of Jane Young to general manager of its Queensland operations.
Young (pictured above, centre) joined the agency in July last year as client services director and since then she has restructured and expanded the client service team to match evolving client needs in creative and integrated communications.
She has more than 15 years’ industry experience in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Prior to joining Publicis, Young was the GM of Ogilvy Queensland.
Publicis in Queensland transitioned to new leadership in April last year to place a specific focus on integrated strategy, creative and digital thinking.
Simone Waugh (pictured above, right), managing director of Publicis in Queensland, said Young’s promotion to GM was integral to plans for the agency’s growth and client leadership capabilities.
“Jane has brought to Publicis her experience in re-engineering processes and creating a culture where people and creativity come first,” she said.
“The agency has developed into a fully integrated strategy, creative, digital and production business, and Jane is central to how we work with our clients in an open and collaborative way.”
Commenting on her new role, Young said: “I am proud to be part of an agency that values the perspectives of female leadership and is truly passionate about mentoring our young people to achieve their potential.
“My main focus will continue to be on our people and further developing an environment in which they can thrive, while I will also maintain a very hands-on approach with our clients.”
