Well, a new spot that’s arrived today could possibly have similar repercussions, this time for Christians.
The ad’s for the Norwegian postal service Posten and – wait for it – basically implies the postie fathered baby Jesus with the (no longer) Virgin Mary.
Check out the spot below, but the clanger comes when we see baby Jesus with a similar hair and complexion to the postman versus Joseph’s much darker looks.
The ad’s the work of Oslo creative agency Pol and comes with an arse covering disclaimer at the end that declares: “Well, maybe that’s not quite how it happened in those days…!”
