AFL Star Lance “Buddy” Franklin teams up again with Australia’s leading menswear fashion brand, Politix to front its Winter 2016 campaign. Photographed at Sydney’s architectural landscape of Barangaroo Cutaway and the Anzac Bridge, the 197cm tall athlete cuts a fine figure in Politix’s key winter looks.
Franklin speaks to a new generation of men who are stepping up their style by infusing the influence of street wear and style for a fresh and more casual take on off-duty style. Known for his sartorial off-field aesthetic, Franklin will be seen showcasing leather jackets, overcoats and knit sweaters, styled back in the signature “Track Jeans” which Franklin launched last season.
Looking sharp and in great physical shape, the superstar was in high spirits as he steps back in front of the lens. A seasoned model, this is his third campaign since signing with Politix in October 2014, shooting the Spring Racing campaign with Harry Kewell.
“A fashion shoot is different for me – It’s cool dressing up with all the Politix layers, as a sportsman I spend a lot of time in playing & training gear – I’m not sure if modeling will ever feel totally comfortable but I’m enjoying myself”, said Franklin.
Constantly elevating the level of quality in their collections, Politix’s seasonal colours of blue, camel and steely grey tones highlight key product details the brand is known for.
Launching late March in line with the AFL Season, Politix’s Winter campaign with Franklin will feature in outdoor, windows, point of sale & online.
Harry Kewell remains a long-standing Politix ambassador, living in the UK with his family and currently coaches the Under 21’s Premier League Club Watford. Politix has 72 stores nationally including Myer.
