Peter Bosilkovski, managing director of Leo Burnett Sydney was awarded Media Executive of the Year at last night’s CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards.
The black tie gala event was held at Sydney’s Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom hosted by Eddie McGuire.
The night recognised and awarded executives across industry sectors from media, retail, construction, natural resources and energy, health and pharmaceutical to telecommunications.
Bosilkovski said: “I am exceptionally proud to have been named Media Executive of the Year. I absolutely love what I do and to be recognised in this way, up against such fierce competition, is a great honour. Whilst this is a personal award, the entire team at Leo Burnett has played a role in this achievement – through the relentless agency-wide dedication to achieving excellence, driving innovation and encouraging risk taking, all while having fun doing it.”
With more than 600 entries, the Awards identify the achievements of aspiring and established leaders in 20 categories with key categories including CEO of the Year, Managing Director of the Year, Chairperson of the Year, CFO of the Year,and CIO of the Year. An expert panel of highly regarded business professionals including Bob Black, Former Managing Director Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands TNT; Nick Abboud, CEO and Managing Director Dick Smith; Luisa Pastrello, General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Etihad Airways; John Karagounis, Managing Director and CEO, The CEO Circle, along with The CEO Magazine’s judges, Chris Dutton and Daniel Di Loreto, judged the nominations.
Other highlights last night were Ciaran Davis from Australian Radio Network named CEO of the Year, Gina Rinehart from Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd named Chairperson of the Year for a second year in a row who attended the event to accept her award and Adam Jacobs, managing director of The Iconic was named Young Executive of the Year.
