Following two jam packed seasons in 2020-2021, Pedestrian Group has today announced the return of the hugely popular Disney+ Drive-In for summer across the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

With the full schedule to be announced, tickets have gone on sale today for the Gold Coast event which will be held at Carrara Sports Precinct Parking from 25 November through to 3 January, followed by the Melbourne Showgrounds in January and February and finishing in Sydney at CommBank (formally BankWest) Stadium in March and April.

This season’s program includes something for everyone with new release films including: Free Guy, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Jungle Cruise, plus: Deadpool, Die Hard, The Devil Wears Prada and Pirates of the Caribbean. Movie lovers can purchase tickets to Throwback Thursdays classics like Pretty Woman, Moulin Rouge, and The Emperor’s New Groove, and Fan Fave Fridays including much loved Disney classics: Moana, The Lion King, Princess Diaries, and Home Alone 2.

For the first time, the public will have the option to book tickets to The Park, a section of the Disney+ Drive-In for couples to enjoy films from a picnic setting complete with bean loungers, table service and dedicated volume controlled radio hire.

James McManus, creative director of Pedestrian Group, said: “Openair Cinemas’ award winning Disney+ Drive-In is back for round three to keep delivering the proven ‘new nostalgia’ our audience wants, and is destined to sell out along the east coast as we reintroduce screenings under the stars.”

Rachel Tikey, commercial director of Pedestrian Group, said: “the continuation of Disney+ Drive-In for a THIRD season is a testament to the success of the truly standout ‘IRL’ brand experiences that Pedestrian Group creates for our partners.”

“We love working with Disney+ to bring to life these sell out events – even better to see exciting first time partner CARS24 and Doordash onboard for this third iteration.”

DoorDash returns as the exclusive food delivery partner, with ticket holders able to order their favourite cuisine straight to the comfort of their car. Australia’s first 100% online used car buying experience, CARS24 joins the tour as a supporting partner.

Tickets for the Gold Coast location, along with the full line-up, are now available to purchase for $40 per car (up to 5 people) and $40 double pass for The Park on the official website, openaircinemas.com.au/drive-in, with Sydney and Melbourne to follow soon.
