Open Colleges has announced its new Chief Marketing Officer, Matt Hill, who steps into his new role with over 13 years of marketing and communications experience, taking the reins from Kevin Lynch, currently acting chief operating officer.
Hill joined Open Colleges in February 2013 as head of brand and communications after a role in London for American Express UK. Prior to that he worked as channel marketing manager for Think Education Group.
Hill brings skills in marketing strategy, communications, digital marketing and strategic planning to the table for his new role at the learning organisation.
In his role as CMO, Hill will be responsible for leading the digital marketing strategy for Open Colleges and driving positive student outcomes.
Hill said, “In my new role leading the marketing team we aim to continue to demonstrate the strong benefits of online learning through our various media channels. We want students to feel empowered and confident that they can improve their lives through continuing education.
“Our brand purpose is to empower people to improve their lives – to free people to pursue a better life by removing the barriers that limit their confidence and ability to access the life changing benefits of education.
“Open Colleges is at the forefront of online education. We’ve educated over 700,000 students and are always looking for ways to improve and provide higher quality education offerings. We have some big projects in the pipeline as part of our educational expansion plans which will see us focus on a number of modalities, locations, and sectors.
“I believe that the future of education is online. Our world is so interconnected – location is no longer a barrier to getting the qualifications you need to build the career you want.
“Open Colleges aims to give students across Australia access to the learning opportunities they want to drive their personal and career outcomes.”
