Ogilvy, Thinkerbell & FINCH Among Several Aussie Agencies To Win Big At The 2022 Clio Awards

Australian creative agencies have made their mark at the 2022 Clio Awards, with an impressive 18 awards given to local firms, including Ogilvy Australia, Thinkerbell, FINCH and Clemenger BBDO Sydney.

Preliminary winners of the prestigious awards – which have annually recognised creative excellence in advertising since 1959 – were announced today.

Of the local winners, Ogilvy Australia were top of the crop, claiming silver in both the Digital/Mobile and Experience/Activation categories for their “Saving Freddo” campaign for Mondelez Australia. Furthermore, the Melbourne-based agency took home bronze in Social Media for its work with AAMI (Suncorp).

Both Thinkerbell and FINCH also claimed silver awards, with the latter winning in the Digital/Mobile medium for their Minecraft-inspired “Climate Warriors” campaign for NRMA Insurance, while FINCH scored big in Print & Out Of Home Craft for its work with sustainability initiative, The Lion’s Share Fund.

The Aussie agencies also claimed their fair share of bronze, with CHE Proximity and Leo Burnett Australia stashing three bronze gongs each.

The winners will be celebrated at the 62nd Clio Awards ceremony on 28 April, 2022 in New York City, where the Grand Clio of the Year winners – the awards’ highest honour – will also be announced.

Only entries that first appeared in the public sphere between August 1, 2020 and February 16, 2022 were eligible to enter this year’s awards.
