#NuggsForCarter Knocked Off As Most Retweeted Tweet Ever By Japanese Billionaire

The infamous 2017 #NuggsForCarter tweet, where Carter Wilkerson attempted to score a lifetime of free nuggets from Wendy’s, has been knocked off as the most retweeted tweet of all time.

While #NuggsForCarter racked up a whopping 3.6 million retweets, a post by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has now taken the top spot, with 5.6 million.

The tweet, which Maezawa posted January 6, spruiks the 10 billion yen ($129,518,400) in New Year’s sales from his clothes retailer Zozo.

To get the word out about the 10 billion yen in sales, Maezawa asked his 6.15 million followers to retweet the post, and to entice his followers to comply, Maezawa gave 100 people the chance to win a share of a 100 million yen ($1,295,900) prize by simply retweeting it.

Maezawa said he would contact each of the 100 winners himself.

Sadly, Maezawa’s predecessor Carter Wilkerson failed to crack the 18 million retweets Wendy’s has asked for him to score a lifetime of free nuggets.

However, the fast-food chain still gave him the nuggets and made a $US100,000 donation in his name.
