NOVA Entertainment has today announced its appointment of Adam Johnson to the newly created role of chief growth officer.
Johnson will now oversee NOVA Entertainment’s brand marketing and communications efforts, as well as lead the group’s growth in connected audiences through its digital product and content development while driving forward NOVA’s data and distribution strategy.
NOVA Entertainment’s CEO, Peter Charlton said Johnson’s appointment provides opportunity to extend on NOVA’s market leading strength in all of audio.
“As NOVA Entertainment continues to capitalise on and grow our strategic audio aspirations, Adam’s extensive experience working with some of the world’s biggest media and technology brands, combined with his consumer and data focus, will allow us to continue to grow audience across all our channels, facilitate effective promotion of NOVA’s assets across our platforms and help deliver data and insight about our growing consumer base for our advertisers.”

Prior to joining NOVA Entertainment, Johnson was based in London in the role of chief marketing officer for Global, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.
Prior to that, Johnson was the UK marketing director for Microsoft’s mobile devices division, and was responsible for developing and delivering Microsoft’s smartphone marketing strategy.
He spent eight years in Sydney from 2003 to 2011, initially with the creative agencies George Patterson/Y&R before taking on a client-side role at Nokia Australia in 2006.
Johnson joins NOVA Entertainment’s Group executive team, reporting to CEO Peter Charlton, and starts in his new role today.
