Two of Australia’s biggest media companies are looking to create a fresh venture for business journalism.
News Corporation’s Sky Business News and Nine Entertainment have been talking about a journalism venture that features a channel and TV shows focusing on all things business and finance, according to Fairfax.
The venture would see each party own some of the intellectual property, while costs and revenue would be shared.
Fairfax reported that Sky News Business and Nine see the finance sector as an attractive space for premium advertising, with negotiations in their infancy.
