Finalists for the 2017 Australian Cannes Young Lions are preparing to go into the final round of the competition where shortlisted finalists in the print, media, marketing and cyber categories receive a 24-hour brief.
News Corp Australia’s chief marketing officer, Tony Phillips welcomed the participants to News Corp’s head office yesterday afternoon and said: “News Corp’s Young Lions Competition will provide one deserving team per category the opportunity to compete internationally at the international Young Lions competition in Cannes in June.”
“We congratulate all of the participants in the finalist teams and we look forward to working with you over the coming days.”
The finalists teams will attend a Young Lions Boot Camp at News Corp Australia’s Surry Hills office this morning which includes bespoke training across the categories to prepare teams for the 24-hour brief.
Media and marketing teams will undergo presentation skills and pitch training and the print and Cyber teams will learn how to tap into their individual creativity to turn around a quick response brief.
The teams will then attend an offsite team building session in the afternoon.
