Kite Communications Founder & GM Depart To Launch New Communications Agency

Ex-Kite Communications directors have jumped ship to launch a full service communications agency of their own, unveiled today as Seven Communications.

Former general manager, Patrice Pandeleos, and associate director, Heather Mollins, spotted a gap in the market for a nimble and flexible full service communications agency that matches client’s changing needs.

Unlike traditional agency models, Seven will offer a varied pricing structure (including no minimum ‘get out of bed fee’) and a team of senior talented professionals.

The agency’s name is a reflection of the company’s guiding seven values; be innovative, commit to excellence, tell it like it is, be accountable, be proactive, have a conscience and be human.

Mollins founded Kite three years ago on behalf of the agency’s owner, while Pandeleos comes from a media, digital and integration background having worked for Carat, MediaCom, OMD and Channel 7.

Mollins has a strong PR background having worked for Ogilvy Public Relations and Tourism New Zealand previously. The pair has worked with a range of consumer and government clients including Tourism Australia, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Huggies, Canon, Tourism NT, Fairfax, Expedia, NSW Government, WA Government and Meat & Livestock Australia.

Co-founder and managing director Heather Mollins said of the launch, “Over the years, we have witnessed clients looking for more projects and less retainers, more senior service and less churn on their accounts, more transparency with budgets and greater accountability from their agency partners.

“We feel the traditional agency model doesn’t always have the ability adapt quickly enough to meet client needs. Rather than grip onto the past, we have created an agency of the future that will be built on our seven values and proven track record.”

The agency will offer public relations, social media, digital, SEO, SEM, content development, events, issues and crisis management, strategy and planning, media solutions, influencer engagement and talent management. The pair will work with a team of seasoned professionals in a range of communication fields to deliver the work.
