“Smells Of Sweat & Polyurethane Chairs!” Men’s Fragrance ‘Scent Of The Internet’ Has Arrived!

Yes, it’s as bad as it sounds, the “Scent of the Internet” cologne is ready to order for people hoping to bask in the musk of an “extractive web of raw minerals and sweat.”

As reported by indy100, the aftershave is available for purchase at the HIGHArt Museum Store for a pricey $US150 ($A210).

Its creation is a result of online fashion brand Highsnobiety’s artistic partnership with perfume professionals, Society of Scent and Berlin-based art collective, New Models.

The product page describes this latest and greatest cologne as, “An extractive web of raw minerals and sweat, spiking dopamine and desperate self-monetisation from the vantage of a polyurethane chair.”

Perhaps it’s not the most enticing of advertisements but then again neither was Sauavage’s 2015 campaign that had Johnny Depp aimlessly stumbling in the desert, digging holes and playing in the dirt.

Co-founder of New Models, Carly Busta, spoke of the thought process behind the new smell in an interview with the outlet sharing that they were inspired by “the fact that smell, our most primal sense, is not engaged whatsoever while using the internet.”

She added: “It’s animalistic. But also, the scent is somehow addictive. I wake up craving it.”

To this, most people would probably say, “you do you,” but too those brave enough to try this new signature scent, enjoy its unabatedly natural musk.
