Getty Images’ new agency Verbatim, the recently launched commercial assignments agency, has hired Meighan Dobson as its first Head of Development. Dobson joins from Anomaly, where she was most recently Director of Content Marketing.
Dobson will report into Verbatim CEO Aidan Sullivan and spearhead the development of creative collaborations between brands, ad agencies and Verbatim’s internationally renowned photojournalists.
She will cultivate creative partnerships that will help brands connect with their audiences by creating more authentic journalistic-driven visual brand narratives.
Dobson comes with her 15+ years of experience from the creative agency world, bringing an understanding of the nuances of agency culture. Prior to joining Verbatim, Dobson spent 11 years as head of North American operations for Winkreative, Tyler Brûlé’s London-based creative agency, and more recently as part of Anomaly’s branded content division, ACE (Anomaly Content & Entertainment).
Aidan Sullivan said of the appointment, “With her wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry, Meighan is ideally suited to champion Verbatim’s award-winning roster of storytellers.
“She knows how to talk to brands, and their decision makers in a brand/marketing language that will resonate, and earlier in her career, having worked on the development of numerous feature films and television series with some of the best storytellers in the business, she understands what it means to craft an unforgettable story.”
Meighan Dobson added, “Having successfully spearheaded new business in the States for Winkreative for over a decade, I think I can bring significant value to the cause.
“The Verbatim role demands the same skill set — but I’ll be coming at it from a fresh angle, with a fresh perspective. And that’s very exciting to me.”
The appointment is effective immediately.
