Strategic insights consultancy Nature has announced it has been certified as a B Corporation.

It has become the first Australian insights company to join the global community of companies conscious of their impact and using their power in business to make change for good.

Certified B Corporations must meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability. Nature achieved a score of 92 on the B Impact Assessment, well above the 80 required for certification.

The company’s longstanding commitment to its people, community giving and its approach to sustainability were key justifications for the certification.

Nature Partner and Melbourne managing director, Justin Connally (main photo, L) said: “We’re a business built on people, so making sure the way we operate has a positive impact on the wider community is just in our nature.

“We are beyond proud to receive a B Corp certification and even more to be the first insights firm in Australia and New Zealand to do so. It is a testament to each and every one of our people who made it possible and allows us to show the industry the values that matter.

“At Nature, we have always held true to the start-up values that built our business, and this is the next step in proving that profit and purpose do go hand-in-hand. This achievement inspires us to do more and strengthens our commitment to our clients, our work and each other.

“It’s only really the beginning of our journey. We’ve already set ourselves some ambitious goals for the next 12 months and look forward to continually challenging ourselves well beyond that.”

Nature Founder and managing partner, Chris Crook,(main photo, R) said: “This achievement is a major milestone for Nature. We hold true to our values as a business, yet we are always evolving.

“From our updated flexibility policies to our community giving efforts, or even our bespoke learning and development platform – it’s all a part of our ongoing commitment to our people and our purpose. This is really the start of the next era for us.”
