In a rare TV moment, MasterChef wasn’t Ten’s best performing show last night after it was beat by another of the network’s shows, Have You Been Paying Attention?

The comedy quiz pulled in 865,000 for the network, seeing off the foodie stalwart that managed 833,000.

With Nine’s The Voice out of the way, Seven’s House Rules enjoyed 890,000 viewers and handed Seven a Monday night win with 26.9 per cent audience share.

Nine was a close second with 25.5 per cent, Ten had 21.4 per cent, the ABC managed 16.8 per cent, while the World Cup gave SBS a lift, it pulled in 9.4 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin was the most watched show of the night with 1.16 million viewers and saw off rival Nine’s that managed 1.06 million.

However, it wasn’t all good news for Seven, its First Dates not finding too much viewer love, managing only 383,000 last night.

Over at Nine, ACA pulled 870,000, Hot Seat had 604,000 and Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation had 569,000.

For Ten, The Project enjoyed one of its better nights with 591,000.

The ABC’s night of current affairs went thus: ABC News (746,000), Back Roads (635,000), 7:30 (598,000), Four Corners (565,000), Media Watch (530,000), Q&A (401,000), and Think Tank (249,000).

For SBS, the World Cup bought it some ratings love, the Sweden versus Korea match pulling 348,000 viewers.
