Monday.com has introduced a suite of time-saving AI tools that could save workers hours of time by rewriting emails, generating project plan tasks and summarising lengthy tracts of text.

“AI technology has made significant progress in the last few months and it has reached a maturity that level that we think now is the right time to incorporate it into our platform,” the company’s Eran Helft, director of product management, told B&T.

“We not only want to provide these capabilities for our customers but also give third-party developers opportunities to build new and unique types of capabilities to benefit our customers even more and optimize the way they work.”

The new AI tools will allow project plans to be created automatically, saving staff time on creating tasks. Within Monday.com’s sales CRM, it can compose and rephrase emails to save vital minutes. It can even summarise complex topics and provide staff with relevant action items.

A formula builder tool is due for a later release that will let users describe a task or team objective to Monday.com AI and it will generate a formula that will help complete those tasks more efficiently.

“The amount of time saved varies across different use cases however, AI can save customers hours of their time on tasks. For example, with automated task generation, they can plan projects in less time based on customer input and goals or use Monday AI to write and edit emails faster. In addition to saving time, it will further empower customers to build their own customised software without any coding experience,” explained Helft.

Monday.com is also set to open up its AI capabilities to external developers to add further functionalities and broaden its ecosystem. The resulting apps will then be available to Monday.com customers through the AI Assistant and the company’s apps marketplace.

“We can expect the new age AI technology that we are seeing to make a significant impact in the world of work and beyond. From automating tasks to creating software, AI will enable endless opportunities, even for those without any coding skills,” says Rohini Sharma, industry lead at monday.com in Australia.

“We’re thrilled to bring this innovation to our platform and to further empower our customers to increase efficiency and build customised software.”
