Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia has announced Aussie style enthusiast and life adventurer Sheree Commerford as a “friend” of the brand.
Commerford, who is the founder of lifestyle website and homegrown creative agency Captain and The Gypsy Kid, announced the new partnership to her more than 71,000 Instagram followers today.
Commerford is currently on a family road trip, making her way up the east coast of Australia from her home on Sydney’s northern beaches in a Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo ACTIVITY.
“I was invited to the launch of the Marco Polo ACTIVITY on Cockatoo Island in August, and as soon as I saw the van I thought if our family could be epitomised by a vehicle, the Marco Polo is it – I want to get behind the wheel of one and take my family on the road,” Commerford said.
“After the launch event, the Mercedes-Benz Vans team and I kept talking, and there we found we have so much in common, both as people and also with what we’re trying to achieve with our brands.
Commerford said becoming a “friend” of the Mercedes-Benz Vans brand was an easy decision.
“Not only does our family get to enjoy fantastic vehicles like the Marco Polo ACTIVITY and V-Class, which perfectly suit our family lifestyle, but I also get to work with the Mercedes-Benz Vans team to help them bring their exciting ideas to life in 2018 and beyond,” she said.
Diane Tarr, CEO and managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia and New Zealand, said: “We loved Sheree as soon as we met her.
“She has a unique and refreshing perspective on life, and she is one of Australia’s most respected creatives, particularly with entrepreneurial and creative women.
“We welcome Sheree to the Mercedes-Benz Vans extended team and can’t wait to reveal what we’ve been working on together.”
Last year, Mercedes-Benz Vans appointed Mick Fanning as ambassador for the soon-to-be released X-Class (the first ever ute from Mercedes-Benz) and leading stylist Megan Morton as friend of the brand for the Vito model.
