Menulog has doubled down on its marketing support for restaurant partners, with the promotion of Senior Marketing Manager, Rami Tamer, to a newly created role of ‘Head of Partner Marketing’, as well as the promotion of former-Blue 449 Performance Manager, Jaryd Buggins.
In the new Head of Partner Marketing role, Rami will lead a team of three with a focus on driving strategic partner initiatives, leading marketing for Menulog’s suite of branded restaurant groups and rolling out a new Last Mile Marketing Strategy with Menulog’s highly visible orange brand.
After 17 months running strategic projects for Menulog, Rami brought his skills across to Marketing to run successful integrated programs with some of the country’s (and world’s) largest brands, including KFC, McDonald’s, Hungry Jacks, Domino’s, Guzman y Gomez, Oporto, Red Rooster, Mad Mex and Taco Bell. Rami has played a crucial role in cultivating relationships with key partners, as well as developing programs that set Menulog apart in a highly competitive category.
As Senior Marketing Manager, Rami drove key elements of the brand’s infamous ‘Did Somebody Say’ activity with Snoop Dogg, Menulog’s rebrand to now iconic orange logo, its State of Origin partnership and most recently the ‘Macca’s delivered Menulog style’ integrated campaign. Rami’s leadership in Menulog’s new pricing strategy saw a 30 per cent growth in off-peak orders in H1 2021.
Of the new role Rami said: “I’m thrilled to accept the new role and proud to be part of the team that has produced best-in-class work for our brand and our partners. By establishing Partner Marketing as a focused pillar of Menulog’s marketing function and strategy, we hope to drive even stronger relationships and results for our partners.”
Joining Rami in driving stronger growth for partners and the Menulog business is Jaryd Buggins, as he moves into the role of Senior Performance Manager. Having led pay-per-click activity, affiliate marketing and courier recruitment streams of work within the Menulog marketing team, Jaryd is recognised as one of the Just Eat Takeaway.com Group’s leading PPC specialists, having grown PPC in Australia by triple digitals over the last year.
Buggins has been key in positioning Menulog as an agile incubator to test and learn within the wider global Just Eat Takeaway.com business and implementing new functionalities and feed-based solutions across the Menulog business. Initiatives to present the most relevant and compelling messaging including USPs for key partners have contributed to recent success . Most recently Jaryd led the expansion of recruitment of couriers to New Zealand this year, where Menulog has launched its Delivery Service.
Buggins said: “I’m excited to step into this more senior role within the Menulog business and broader Just Eat Takeaway.com group. This is such an important stream of marketing for our business and it’s been great to see how we’ve been able to grow and expand the function over the past two years, and to see the results our investment has garnered. There is so much opportunity within this business and the broader industry and I can’t wait to continue this journey with Menulog.”
