Menulog Brings Special Deliveries To The Beach For Final Weeks Of Summer

Food delivery service Menulog, is helping Aussies beat the heat for the last few weeks of summer by bringing some of the comforts of home – and home delivery – to their favourite summer locations.

Tens of thousands of inflatable Menulog lounges (see below) will hit beaches, cities and universities across Sydney and Melbourne, offering Aussies a place to chill out and get free Menulog vouchers. Crust Pizza will also deliver free pizza to select locations. One lucky Sydneysider and one Melbournian will also get the chance to win dinner on Menulog for the next three months.

Summer icons, the legendary Bondi Rescue Lifeguards, will kick off the competition this Sunday (19 Feb) at Bondi Beach, challenging Sydneysiders to blow up as many Menulog lounges as they can in one minute for their chance to win a season of Menulog deliveries. The Menulog team will then host the competition again in St Kilda the following Sunday (26 February) to see how quick Melbournians can be.

Bondi Rescue Lifeguard, Andrew ‘Reidy’ Reid encouraged all sun-loving Aussies to get down to a local event for a free feed and some final summer fun.

“We’re really looking forward to meeting punters on our home turf at Bondi this weekend and showing them a trick or two on how to inflate the Menulog lounges.

“There’s nothing better than having a top spot to sit back and relax on the beach. Three months of free Menulog deliveries is also a pretty enticing prize so we’d encourage all locals to get down and give it a go,” added Reidy.

True to its title as Australia’s largest online food ordering platform, reaching more locations than any other in the country, in addition to Bondi and St Kilda, the Menulog summer team will visit:

●        Manly Wharf, Saturday 18th February, 11.30am ‐ 3.30pm
●        Campbell Parade Bondi Beach, Sunday 19th February, 11.30am ‐ 3.30pm
●        UNSW, Monday 20th February, 10.30am ‐ 2.30pm
●        Macquarie University, Tuesday 21st February, 10.30am ‐ 2.30pm
●        University of Melbourne, Thursday 23rd February, 10.30am ‐ 2.30pm
●        St Kilda Beach,  Saturday 25th and Sunday 26thFebruary, 11.30am ‐ 3.30pm
●        Monash University, Wednesday 1st March, 10.30am ‐ 2.30pm
●        Cronulla Beach, Saturday 4th March, 11.30am ‐ 3.30pm

Menulog lounges will be available to anyone that comes down to see the team in green, and orders a free inflatable via the Menulog app by adding ‘Menulog Summer’ as the suburb.

Menulog spokesperson Tasman Page said: “Menulog is all about making it easy for all Aussies to relax and enjoy good food wherever they are – and what better place to do it than at the beach.

“People have been loving our Menulog lounges so we thought we’d bring them on mass to help Aussies enjoy the final few weeks of summer. We’re excited to provide a few of the  comforts of home in some of Sydney and Melbourne’s top summer spots, and of course, see how the two cities fare in the inflatable competition,” added Mr Page.

The Menulog lounges are fast becoming the ultimate accessory to help Aussies see out summer in style.  Of course, beach goers can also practice inflating the lounge before trying their hand at the major prize.

The campaign was developed in partnership by Menulog, Red Agency and its experiential division, Red Guerilla.
