Not only is Miranda Kovacic the domain lead for employee experience at ANZ technology, she is also at the helm of the bank’s Women in Technology movement.
As the co-sponsor of the ANZ internal women in tech network (“The Ada Network”), Kovacic leads by example by mentoring a number of individuals both within the company and outside.
She has been described by her mentees as continuing to support their growth and development and also manages to keep her teams highly engaged.
She has also managed to build a team with women making up 43 per cent of the leadership team using unbiased language in job advertisements, career advancement based on performance and also achieved equal remuneration on a gender basis in her team.
Kovacic has also played an important role in the Ada Network within ANZ Technology, named after Ada Lovelace, the mathematician widely acknowledged as the first computer programmer.
With her support and guidance, the network has grown by 90 per cent over the last 18 months with over 150 ANZ internal allies supporting the cause. As the network has focused on attracting, retaining and growing women in tech, there have been a number of programs and strategic initiatives launched within ANZ that have added significant value to the organisation and changed lives in the process.
