Following on from Network Ten’s sizzling spot for Richie Strahan in The Bachelor (and the unveiling of our new Bachelorette), we’ve now been introduced to the 22 Bachelorettes who will be vying for his heart.
Ranging in age from 23 to 34, and hailing from all around Australia, this year’s Bachelorettes are a diverse group of characters with one thing in common: their passion to find “the one”.
Bachelor Richie Strahan is no cool cat, however, and has admitted to be “terrified” at the prospect of being in a room with 22 high-flying women. And thankfully, today’s Ten announcement comes with a sneak peek video of how he actually interacts with them.

And now, meet the Bachelorettes who have made the short-list to battle it out for Richie’s heart:
Victoria has delivered six ladies with business development manager Aimee, venue manager Alex, artist
Georgia, project manager Laura, executive assistant Sasha and personal trainer Tolyna.
Event coordinator Eliza, account manager Keira, personal assistant Kiki, yoga instructor Marja, former
professional athlete Mia and make-up artist Olena are the six Bachelorettes from NSW.
Four beauties hail from Queensland: hairdresser Faith, children’s entertainer Janey, swimwear designer Noni and massage therapist Vintaea.
Customer support manager Sophie is South Australia’s Bachelorette. There are five Bachelorettes representing Richie’s home state of Western Australia: health promotions officer Megan, communications officer Natalie, support worker Rachael, training administrator Tiffany and real estate agent Nikki.
Talking about her application, Megan confessed, “It was a Friday night and I really wanted to go out, but my friends were having nights in with their boyfriends.
“My first thought was to have a desperate Bridget Jones moment in my PJs with a block of cheese hanging out my mouth. Instead, I ended up online applying for The Bachelor Australia.”
Looking ahead to meeting the Bachelorettes, Richie said, “When that first girl walks towards me, I’m just hoping I can be a cool cat, smile and not fall over. One of these girls could be someone that I spend the rest of my life with and I can’t wait to meet her. All I can do is be myself.”
The Bachelor Australia promises a season filled with romance, roses, tears and plenty of drama, coming to Ten and WIN Network soon.
