The McGrath Foundation has announced the launch of a new campaign to coincide with Mother’s Day that encourages mums and daughters around the country to start a conversation that matters about breast health.
The McGrath Foundation is encouraging people all over Australia to make a moment with mum that matters.
Model and TV host Maggie Tabberer has joined country singer Catherine Britt in supporting the campaign by sharing their family experiences with breast cancer in a series of special videos to screen on mcgrathfoundation.com.au in the lead-up to Mother’s Day onSunday 14 May.
The campaign features special messages of encouragement and support for the McGrath Foundation’s important work in raising money to put much-needed breast care nurses in communities around Australia.
The campaign was inspired by research conducted by the McGrath Foundation, which found that although half of Australian women believe mums are best-placed to first raise breast health with their daughters, only 24 per cent have had such a conversation with their mums, and in only 12 per cent of cases, it was the first conversation about breast health.
