McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Launches In The US

McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Launches In The US

Hangover people rejoice! McDonalds in the US could start offering breakfast McMuffins and hotcakes all-damn-day from October.

The memo, written by a Arizona franchisee owner LeAnn Richards said “serving all-day breakfast is likely the number one request we hear from McDonald’s customers. We’re testing it out in a few markets to learn more about this possibility.”,

Richards has been the head of a McDonald’s task force which studied the feasibility of all-day breakfast. Richards said franchisees needed to be ready for the potential launch of all-day breakfast as soon as October.

As reported in B&T, McDonald’s has been seeing a global decline in sales. Maccas has seen its annual profits plunge by 13 per cent in 2013 and 15 per cent in 2014. The recent push to create-your-own options, smaller drive through options and $1 meals are all an attempt to reverse this decline.

“We want to make it clear that we are not being presumptive that this will launch, but we want to make sure the system is ready to turn quickly and launch all-day breakfast should all of you believe and support that direction,” Richards stated in the memo.

McDonald’s restaurants have been trialling all-day breakfasts in parts of NSW for a month now.

“Macca’s restaurants across Wollongong and the Illawarra (excluding food court kiosks) will be serving breakfast favourites including the bacon and egg and sausage and egg McMuffins, hashbrowns and hotcakes 24 hours, seven days a week,” McDonald’s said in a press release in June.

McDonald’s Australia chief marketing officer Mark Lollback said “We are always listening and taking on feedback from our customers and all-day breakfast was one that people are always asking of us.

“We are excited to let our customers know that we have heard them and to announce that our Wollongong patrons will have the opportunity to be among the first in Australia to enjoy all-day breakfast.”

Take that 10:30 am breakfast curfew!
