McCann Pinches Y&R’s Title For Most Creative Wins For The Month Of January

McCann Pinches Y&R’s Title For Most Creative Wins For The Month Of January

Can Y&R ever be prized out of top spot for the number of new creative business wins for a month? Well, believe it or not McCann has managed to do that very thing according to the latest new business wins for the month of January compiled by global marketing consultancy firm R3.

Y&R had topped R3’s monthly charts for much of 2016, however, the agency has dropped to third spot behind McCann with Ogilvy in second.

The R3 results are based on actual value of the business and not the number of wins.

However, it should be noted that new business, as you’d expect, is slim over the holiday month of January and even R3 urges caution of reading too much into the final results.

McCann was propelled into top spot with new business that included the Beko Project and Maybelline Digital. Again, Ogilvy retained its second position, however, had the most new business wins for January with a total of four.

J Walter Thompson shot up seven places to fourth on January’s list and Cummins&Partners  – who didn’t even make December’s top 20 – zoomed into fourth spot after snaring the CSR Sugar creative account.

The full list for creative wins for January is as follows. But again, January wins are typically slim and the results should be viewed in light of that.
