McCain Unleashes The ‘DistractiFRY’ That Hilariously Silences Awkward Dinner Time Conversations

Undoubtedly, one of the many difficulties of the Christmas season is having to deal with racist/climate denying/homophobic/One Nation voting relatives that, to worsen matters, are often juiced-up on way too much ALDI Prosecco.

If that sounds anything like your pending festive season then new work from McCain out of the Canada will certainly resonate.

With help from its creative agency Rethink, the frozen fries firm has come up with the DistractiFRY that delivers freshly cooked chips to the dinner table to distract from inappropriate dinner time conversations.

And the DistractiFRY isn’t merely some gimmick, as part of the campaign, fans of the device can go into a draw to actually win one of the things. Check the details out HERE and watch the witty work below:

Commenting on the ad, Rethink ECD Eric Seymour said the agency was conscious of not veering towards to hot button issues.

“We tried to avoid anything too topical, as that would soon be replaced by more relevant topics,” Seymour said. “We wanted to choose trigger phrases that would be timeless and relatable for a large group of people.”
