Mediabrands Australia CEO Mark Coad has announced the appointment of Maria Grivas as CEO of Reprise Australia, Mediabrands’ digitally-led full-service performance agency.
Grivas is currently chief data and technology officer at UM Australia, a role she has had for the past three and a half years and been a member of UM’s senior leadership team. She has also been a mentor across the Mediabrands group on digital development.
“Reprise plays a vital role in supporting our teams and clients with world-class communications solutions and as Maria has proven in her UM role, she is the ideal future leader for the business,” said Coad. “I’m thrilled that Mediabrands has talent of Maria’s calibre to promote into such an important leadership position, also that we have her high-quality team members in place to continue their work. We will look to replace Maria’s role as UM’s chief data and technology officer in due course, but after very special consideration for this key role.”
Reprise Australia has more than 150 people and offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. The business works with many of Mediabrands’ clients across the group and also has independent clients.
In taking the leadership role at Reprise, Grivas will also join the Mediabrands Australia Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping the group into the future.
Grivas said, “Having already worked closely with Reprise for some time, I am very excited about the CEO role. The business has a large team of very talented people doing great work and my ambition is to help elevate their successes as the industry evolves at pace.”
She replaces previous CEO Matt Sallis, who has resigned for family reasons related to travel restrictions from his base in Canada.
Coad said, “Matt has done a great job under very difficult circumstances and we wish him the very best for the future.”
