Man Of Many Joins The Australian Press Council

Australia’s Largest Men’s Lifestyle publication Man of Many has been appointed as a publisher member of the Australian Press Council.

The Australian Press Council aims to promote freedom of speech through responsible and independent print and digital media, and adherence to high journalistic and editorial standards. Press Council members include the majority of Australia’s major newspaper, magazine, and online publishers.

Co-founder of Man of Many, Scott Purcell (pictured, left) said “We’re extremely excited as the first independent men’s lifestyle publisher to be appointed as a member of the Press Council. We continue to adhere to the best practice editorial standards in pursuit of building a more trustworthy press and the appointment supports our core value of remaining transparent in the application of our journalistic standards”.

“It is gratifying that Australia’s small publishers are seeking membership of the Australian Press Council,” said Neville Stevens, AO, APC Chair. “It signifies the value they place on maintaining high editorial standards and protecting press freedom.”

Coming up to its 10th year anniversary since launch in 2012, the appointment caps off an impressive period for Man of Many, as one of the fastest-growing media companies in Australia being recognised in The Financial Times High-Growth Companies Asia Pacific List for 2022 and AFR’s Fast 100 List in 2021 and follows Man of Many recently being shortlisted for the highly coveted Media Brand of the Year Award in the 2022 Mumbrella Awards.

In 2022, following the release of its Hype Reel, Man of Many is continuing to improve its client solutions through the expansion of its content production arm, Man of Many Media, through in-house videography production, podcasting and events.
