According to Campaign US, LG Electronics has called a review of its global media business.
Outside the US, the account has been held outside since 2013 by Havas Media Group, which followed the Korean-based electronics giant moving most of their global media duties across from Mindshare.
According to Campaign, Havas will not be pitching again.
In a statement to Campaign, Havas said: “The relationship between Havas Media Group and LG Electronics has been a long and fruitful one, and one that Havas Media has placed high value in.
“However, we have made the strategic decision not to take part in the upcoming review.”
Sources close to Havas reportedly said the media group resigned the account six weeks ago.
According to R3 Worldwide, LG’s global media spend is around $800 million.
B&T reached out to LG for comment, but at the time of publishing, did not receive a response.
The review has not been confirmed by LG.
