Leo Burnett Chicago Maintains Top Spot In Global Creative Rankings 2022, APAC Agencies Underperform

The One Club for Creativity has released its Global Creative Rankings for 2022 and Leo Burnett Chicago has maintained its top spot from 2021.

The annual rankings cover agencies, brands, and individuals and are based on points earned from their winning entries in The One Show 2022, ADC 101st Annual Awards, Type Directors Club TDC68/25TDC competitions, ONE Asia 2022, and The One Club Denver, San Diego, and Miami chapter awards programs.

Leo Burnett Chicago topped the list again largely thanks to its work on “The Lost Class” on behalf of Change the Ref, which shone a light on the students who don’t graduate school in the US thanks to its endemic school shooting problem.

“This 2022 Global Creative Ranking is truly comprehensive, for the first time encompassing more global, regional and local awards competitions than any other source,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club for Creativity. “As the industry’s foremost global non-profit organisation for the creative community, The One Club is in a unique position to provide this definitive measure for global creative excellence.”

Special New Zealand came seventh in the overall agency rankings and second among independent agencies. There were no Australian agencies in the top 50 of the overall rankings but M&C Saatchi Sydney came in joint-51st in the independent agency rankings, tied with Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo.
